By choosing me as your wedding photographer you are inviting me to record one of the happiest and most intimate days of your life.
My style is fun and relaxed, capturing a blend of both candid and posed shots. More than anything I want your photos to be a reflection of you and your love story.
Wedding photography that feels like you
Your wedding photographer is going to be with you for a pretty big part of your wedding day – from getting ready in the morning, right through to the dancing and celebrations at the end of the night.
So while obviously you want to love the photos, I think it’s just as important that you like your photographer.
I’m Gina, the photographer behind Evermore Photography. I’ve been photographing weddings for more than 15 years, and my approach is relaxed, personal and unobtrusive.
I’m there to guide you when you need it, but I’m also watching for all those little moments happening around you — the hugs, the happy tears, the laughs, the nervous glances and the moments you probably didn’t even realise were happening.
I want you to feel comfortable enough to forget I’m there.
How to book your wedding photography
The first step is easy – get in touch!
Give me a call, send me a text or fill out my contact form with your wedding date and a few details about your day. I’ll let you know whether I’m available and, if I am, we can arrange a time to catch up.
Let’s meet
If you’re local to Kerikeri, I love meeting couples for a coffee before they book.
Your wedding photographer is someone you’ll spend a LOT of time with on the day, so I think it’s important that we get along. It’s also a chance for you to look through some of my printed wedding photographs and albums, talk through what you have planned and ask me absolutely anything.
There’s no hard sell and no pressure to book. I want you to find the photographer who feels right for you and hopefully, that’s me!
If you’re planning your wedding from out of town or overseas, we can have a chat over Zoom or the phone instead.
Securing your wedding date
Once you’ve decided that I’m the photographer for you, I’ll send through my wedding photography agreement. Your date is secured with a $500 booking fee, and from there you can relax knowing your wedding photography is sorted.
As your wedding gets closer, we’ll start talking about the details of your day.
I’ll ask you for your wedding day timeline and we’ll work through the photography together, things like where you’re getting ready, the ceremony, family photos, bridal party photos, sunset photos and anything else that is important to you.
I’ll also ask you for a list of the family group photographs you’d like after the ceremony. Having this organised beforehand means we can get through those photos quickly and get you back to enjoying your guests.
And if you’re unsure about any of it, don’t worry. That’s what I’m here for. I’ve photographed a lot of weddings and can help you work out what will work best for your day.
What is my wedding photography style?
I’d describe my style as relaxed, natural and a mix of candid and posed photography.
I’ll give you some direction when we need to create those beautiful portraits, but I’m not going to spend your entire wedding lining everyone up and posing you.
Some of my favourite photographs are the ones that happen naturally — the look between you and your new husband or wife, your mum wiping away a tear, your friends laughing during the speeches or everyone letting loose on the dance floor.
I’m constantly watching for those moments.
A mix of relaxed, candid moments and beautifully posed photographs means you get a collection that tells the whole story of your day — not just a series of people looking at the camera.
Capturing the connection
For me, wedding photography is about much more than taking beautiful photographs.
It’s about connection.
The connection between the two of you, your families, your friends and all the people who have come together to celebrate with you.
I want your photographs to bring you straight back to how your wedding day felt, not just what it looked like.
Years from now, I want you to be able to look through your wedding photographs and remember the feeling of your dad seeing you for the first time, the way your partner looked at you during the ceremony, your best friend’s ridiculous speech and the absolute chaos on the dance floor.
Those are the things that matter.
And those are the moments I’m looking for.
What happens on your wedding day?
My job on the day is to make photography feel easy.
I’ll help organise the parts of the day that need a little direction, such as your family photographs and bridal portraits, but for the most part I want you to relax and enjoy yourselves.
I’ll be there, camera in hand, watching everything unfold.
From the excitement of getting ready, walking down the aisle and your first kiss, through to the speeches, cake cutting and dancing, I’m looking for all the little moments that tell the story of your day.
You don’t need to spend your wedding day worrying about whether I’ve got the shot.
You enjoy your wedding. I’ll photograph it.
What happens after your wedding?
Once your wedding is over, the real work begins for me!
I carefully go through all of your photographs, selecting and editing the images that tell the story of your day.
I’ll aim to get a sneak peek to you within the first few weeks. It might be a little blog post or a selection of images you can share with your family and friends.
Your full wedding gallery will be delivered within approximately five weeks, giving you all of your beautifully edited images in an online gallery that you can easily share and download.
And if you’d like something tangible to keep, we can also talk about wedding albums. I love helping couples create an album that tells the story of their wedding and becomes something you can pull out and look through for years to come.
Do you need a second photographer?
A second photographer is available as an optional extra.
Having two photographers means we can be in two places at once and gives you a few different perspectives throughout the day.
For example, while I’m photographing the bride walking down the aisle, a second photographer can be watching the groom and capturing his reaction.
While I’m with you and your bridal party, they might be photographing your guests enjoying the cocktail hour.
It’s not essential for every wedding, but for larger weddings or couples who want even more coverage, it can be a great addition.
Wedding photography throughout Northland and New Zealand
I’m a wedding photographer based in Kerikeri, Northland, and I photograph weddings throughout Northland and around New Zealand.
Over the years I’ve photographed all sorts of weddings, from small, intimate celebrations and church weddings to outdoor ceremonies, vineyards, private properties and everything in between.
And because weddings rarely go exactly to plan, I’m pretty good at thinking on my feet!
Rain? We’ll work with it.
Running late? We’ll adjust.
Something unexpected happens? We’ll roll with it.
You don’t need to worry about having everything perfectly organised.
Your job is to get married and enjoy yourself. My job is to tackle any obstacles and capture the day.
